Homestuck Re-read Part 29: JADESPRITE.
I have done nothing today, I think? I'm not entirely sure. It is however now 5pm and the Homestuck update is out. It is time for homestuck.

We start out with a quick little montage/countdown to a currently unknown event. We see Prospit in the trolls session get destroyed, some scenes from Alternia bound and then a few words before Aradia goes. Robots can have feelings, and deliver cryptic messages about seeing without sight still. There's a heartfelt embrace moments before Aradiabot makes her exit.
She'll be back though, don't worry. Aradia will stay with us to the end.
The doomed dave wakes up just in time to face his death. Poor Terezi :(
Jade is viewing the other kids. She sees John on the battlefield in his new god-tier heir-of-breath outfit and about 13 Daves in various locations at present. She sees a dead Dirk Strider with Davesprite's amulet. She sees Rose talking to someone with white text. Jade talks to Dave about his dead brother/father but he doesn't have a lot to say about it. We learn that whatever the scratch is it's going to end up mostly being Jade's plan. Mostly buying time to take out the green sun, seemingly?
Jade tries to raise Tavros on the ol pesterchumb but he's a bit indisposed at the moment.
Jade then prototypes her dead dreamself with Becsprite. We are gifted Jadesprite. Jadesprite proceeds to display the same amount of emotional stability as me when I've had two shots of vodka.
meta moment!
We are gifted some meta description of Gamzee as being the 'most important character in Homestuck' while Jade's home is destroyed for a second time. The fenestrated wall is now displaying what I believe to be Doc Scratch's office again. But not to worry, it's just more of Hussie wearing a swanky coat from before. He greets Ms. Paint as he returns to his office.
We now get recap 3! There isn't anything super new in here other then a bit of an explanation of what Fraymotifs are if you are unclear. They're like, special combat techniques that are presumably set to music.
Jadesprite is crying I wonder if the reason she isn't handling being prototyped so well is because she is a dreamself? We know they're different to when the dreamer is awake. This is also a Jade who had experienced the new afterlife created by the dreambubbles
JADESPRITE: cant this be undone?
JADESPRITE: i was happy where i was with my friends
JADESPRITE: i want to go back
She is most certainly not happy to be alive again.
She does not particularly appreciate that she was resurrected into the form of a near all powerful sprite creature to be used as a weapon. She just wants to float off into the farthest ring and out into the dreambubbles. Living Jade keeps accidentally reminding jadesprite of things to be sad about. She also keeps accidentally barking.
Jade tries to sell jadesprite on a suicide mission against Bec Noir, which doesn't go over particularly well. She doesn't want to go through the trauma of dying or even being killed again, let alone at the hands of the person who destroyed so many of the things she loved; she wants to not be alive again. It's a very specific difference. I think a part of it is also Jade doesn't yet have a full appreciation of the dreambubbles. This Jade will likely have encountered dead Johns in her post-life. She may have just assumed one was her John. She was happily at peace and is now being forced to fight a fight she moved on from.
It is frustrating seeing her fight with herself about this and slowly loose patience with a version of herself who is more vulnerable and in need then herself.
JADE: some of us, the ones who still have hope, are fighting for that RIGHT NOW
JADE: how can you have such a negative outlook on absolutely everything?JADESPRITE: boo hoo ho-
JADE: shut up!!!!!!
JADE: stop being such a damn crybaby!
JADE: really, we both had the EXACT SAME EXPERIENCES. and look, i am managing to keep my head up, see?
JADE: you dont even have the full picture either, because you checked out early!
JADE: you didnt have to stand by as bec gave jack his powers when you might have been able to stop that
JADE: and you didnt have to watch as jack became so strong he could appear anywhere and kill anyone you loved at any moment!

JADE: you are just looking for any excuse you can to be sad and useless and its starting to piss me off!
...
JADE: NO, FOR GODS SAKE WILL YOU SHUT UP AND PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER, YOU ARE DRIVING ME CRAZY
Karkat messages her to break things up. He appears to be trying to be nice about things for once. Is this perhaps, future Karkat? He also points out that this situation is a little bit ironic on account of the fact she was arguing with a stupid past version of herself.
CG: IF I RECALL, IT WASN'T THAT LONG AGO FROM EITHER OF OUR PERSPECTIVES THAT YOU WERE RIPPING ON ME AND MY SMUG WINDBAG FUTURE SELF FOR ARGUING WITH EACH OTHER
GG: this is NOTHING like that!
GG: she's ACTUALLY INSANE
CG: HOW IS THIS EVEN THE SLIGHTEST FUCKING BIT DIFFERENT?
GG: oh my god
GG: youre right :(
He proceeds to explain that this makes her sane and normal and good actually. Further, he relays order to current Jade from future Jade. Mainly to turn off the 4th wall before shit happens with it. He lets on that he's close to the end of his own timeline and that things are going to shit on the meteor. She turns it off before presumably drawing it and we are now back with wayward vagabond! Serenity leaves to get help from the other exiles while WV cowers in a fort.
The old white queen explains to the new white queen that her royal agenda is to defeat jack noir and rebuilt the kingdom of prospit. This, naturally, is a lot for her to take in. It is explained that the other exiles will aid her. Serenity blinks a long and complex message I will not proceed to transcribe but will copy from the fandom wiki and take on blind faith it is correct.
Help! My friend is stuck inside the big can, inside a small house he built! You must hurry, he is not very bright and he doesn't understand it when I blink! Are you watching me? Oh no, don't blink me you don't understand blinking either!!! How do you people even exchange ideas without luminous rear ends!!!!!!
As it is not understood, Authority regulator proceeds to wire up the bunker things to explode; unaware the mayor is trapped within.
We now watch the mayor sleep in his fort.
We see a version of the mayor drawn in sleep with the powers of the ring. He slays his own army once more.
A new little bug appears, this one with a light insignia upon her chest and with vision 8fold; fluttering butterfly wings hold her in place.
Vriska lays sleeping before her shrine.
[S] Wake.
Megalovania time baby...
We start with dream Feferi in the furthest ring. Moments before her bisection at the hands of Bec Noir. He takes no time dispatching derse. Deep inside, Aradia's dreamself lays sleeping on a sacrificial slab. She ascends to a god tier as the maid of time. She concentrates her powers and stops Bec Noir cold in his tracks. Vriska and Tavros meet for a throwdown; it's over quick. She impales him on his own lance and throws him down another cliff. He lands with a heavy fud just behind an unaware Pyrope.
GRIMDARK
Kanaya plays out the motion one last time. Rose is there, surrounded by orbs for divining the unseen and acolytes to aid her endeavors. She gazes upon an unremarkable white cue ball. Things suddenly go dark. She reaches out to Jade from the future who demands a password in exchange for information. Future Jade informs her that past Jade will provide a password to contact future Jade. Naturally she goes to bother past Jade. Floating midway up the giant spire that her home has become, the conversation plays out, no password needed. We learn Kanaya was the Sylph1 of space. The space player is responsible for stoking the forge and 'breeding' duties. Kanaya still carries the matriorb with her. She hopes to continue the alternian line and fate has sent her a message that it shall be done.
