Homestuck Re-read Part 63: JUST.

I think I have, at long fucking last, got my typescript documentation generator working again. At least I think so. It runs against my web server codebase without panicking and the results look correct. I have a few extra features I want to implement before I call it finished but they don't involve fucking around with types luckily.

I also want to just, reorganize the code a bit and write some documentation for when I inevitably need to look at it again. I'm planning on reusing the tooling I've built around goja in a game engine / game project so I can't have it completely failing on me again. Losing what feels like 2 months to this side piece of a larger and more complex project feels ridiculous and stupid.

Anyway, earlier today I ran the numbers. We are around 1600 pages of Homestuck remaining, and we are going to put a dent of around 120 pages into that today.

Homestuck

We open with Jake's home that has been built up. It still needs to grow further. We also see inside of the Prospitian Battleship that John and Jade rode to the new session. And, apparently, a stowaway juggalo. Sleeping with a missing ring on his finger.

He presents the ring to Aranea. She places on her finger and wakes the clown. Aranea Serket is alive again with a scheme. She wants to undo the existence of the alpha kid's universe (and, by extension, the beta kid's universe) to undo Lord English and nullify any harm he ever caused. She believes that with her powerful and honed sylph abilities that she would be able to heal a doomed timeline enough that it replaces the alpha timeline.

She also decides to mentally enslave Gamzee. and a small ghost army of Damara's. Jane is immediately alerted to the fact the battleship is on the move. Meenah decides to warn Karkat that Aranea is gone rogue. Jane warns Jade that something is happening on Derse while Aranea springs Jake from jail. She wants to unlock his hope powers for him, in exchange for his service.

He instead reads it as coming onto him and has a bit of a breakdown. He still doesn't seem to fully get that he keeps accidentally leading women on.

ARANEA: I only tried to kiss you 8ecause I knew you were attracted to me!

ARANEA: I thought I was doing you a FAVOR!

ARANEA: You really are a piece of work, Jake. Here I am, a literal mind reader, and I still can't figure you out.

She does still heal him, while looking vaguely sinister. It is not a subtle event. Like, at all. Hey what the fuck is that an angel. Does hope have something to do with angels? I mean it looks like he's just, emitting them.

We get an over 9000 joke which is always appreciated. I love her. Jane's father watches in confusion.

Jake's hope field seems to insulate him against Jade's first guardian powers, somehow. She just swaps out the planet instead, replacing Derse with LOFAF.

Karkat tries to get help from Dave but he's using a novelty ass for a communication device, which makes it hard to talk. Some dragon ball type shit starts happening. Orbs and beams and such. Jade is continuing to loose despite being

JADE: I... THE MOST POWERFUL DOGGY GIRL

JADE: WHO HAS EVER EXISTED

JADE: IN THE HISTORY OF PARADOX SPACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But it's too much for her, and she's knocked out. and then Aranea drops her home-spire ontop of her. The sylph of light is, as always, lucky. The death is just, Jade Harley is dead. The upd8 ends here.
