Homestuck Re-read Part 72: STRATEGY.
Apparently in yesterday's upd8 I just. Did not write a new introduction and left the one from the day before. That was, a rather odd move that I can completely explain by saying that Iiiiii, completely forgot about it. Oops. I have a lot to try and get done today so this upd8 being relatively short (50ish pages?) is nice.
HOMESTUCK.
Vriska calls everyone present to attention to continue talking strategy. There is either four or five major adversaries they need to overcome.
- The Condense
- Bec Noir (Dog Jack)
- Spades Slick (The one who has all the members of the felt with him) (Robo Jack)
- Jack Noir (The one who gouged out his eyes and cut off a leg) (Lord Jack)
- (Potentially) Parcel Mistress
She gets Karkat to draw out a diagram of the situation.
She outlines a few key parts of the plan
- Keep Jade asleep until the Condense is dealt with, if she wakes up and the Condense gets control of her again it's game over (again)
- Get the Condense first, she might be able to influence Bec Noir and Parcel Mistress
- Let Parcel Mistress take on Bec Noir, and help her out if you can.
- Lord Jack is gonna be hard to kill and extremely lethal, but he's slow at least. He can't teleport like Bec / PM. Prepare for casualties.
- Robo Jack is a wildcard. He's got cybernetic upgrades but he's seemingly still just a regular guy outside of that. No strange supernatural powers. He's got company though. Vriska recommends 'an ensem8le of third-stringers.'
- Keep the fighting spread out, don't step on eachothers toes
- Jane needs to be able to move around quick
Rosesprite volunteers to layout a transport network to move Jane/others around between fights. The rest of the team moves on to begin handing out other roles.

Vriska gives John Post-Scratch Earth contained in an eight-ball. They'll need it for after winning to have a planet to settle. They had to hack it together by guessing at John's Dad's wallet's captcha code.
We also finally learn where Vriska is going. She's just gonna run off and whack Lord English. Just a casual deicide. She wants to reignite pre-retcon Vriska's plan to build an army and crush Lord English.
Dave is getting freaked out about Dirk and fighting again for the first time in 3 years so Vriska expedites his arrival to the party.
Vriska is. upset that her ghost is 'a fucking loser'. and sets off to try and correct that. Sigh.
We start to zoom out Bringing this upd8 to a close.
