Youtube Videos I Watched in November 2025 That I Recommend
David Hilowitz Music - $12 Lofi Machine: Making Music with Microcassette Dictaphones + FREE SAMPLE

I'm not really a music production person, I know literally nothing about music other then that I like most of Caravan Palace's stuff. This video was however very relaxing and the sounds of the samples he collected were mesmerizing and ethereal.
kodekai - i crossed the continent using only public transit

Normally I write recommendations for videos after I've finished watching them, but for this one I am currently halfwayish through and stopping to write this one. This video falls into a genre of videos I love so much: people traveling in a somewhat unusual way and showing off all the new friends they make along the way. It reminds me of this old Vice series by David Choe called Thumbs Up where he and his buddy hitchhiked across the US or a lot of the videos by Nomad Push where he documents living nomadically in Japan. I enjoyed the start of the video but it was around the 11 minute mark where kodekai meets Terry and Querita (and later Mica) where I fell in love with it. Watching the four of them talk and play cards into the night together, going from total strangers to seemingly life long friends is beyond heartwarming and genuinely made me tear up.
Shaffer Nickel - nothing lasts forever I guess.

I am struggling to write anything about this video without coming to tears. Learning that the california government is considering selling the land Slab City and Salvation Mountain is on is heartbreaking.
I was not able to, ever finish writing about this video without crying. I am sorry, but I fully recommend it.
